I have totally forgotten how to go about doing this.  What &#8230; what goes here?  A recipe?  Details? Who are you again?  WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!<\/p>\n<p>Oh, so yeah, this recipe was recommended to me and the recommendation was spot-on.  This is some seriously tasty stuff and pretty darned easy to make.<\/p>\n<p>First I have to prove to you that I am indeed a firm believer in <I>mis en place<\/I> &#8211; see all ingredients listed below:<\/p>\n<p><CENTER><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/kevinomara\/248661462\/\" title=\"Photo Sharing\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/static.flickr.com\/84\/248661462_bb49ffeaa8_m.jpg\" width=\"160\" height=\"240\" alt=\"Mis en Place, or, This Is How I Roll\" \/><\/a><\/CENTER><\/p>\n<p>Okay, now that I&#8217;m done bragging on my pre-prep obsessive compulsiveness I&#8217;ll get on to the rest of it.  The &#8230; uh &#8230; recipe, if you will.<\/p>\n<p>This is stolen straight from Cooking Light but I&#8217;ve cut out all the words like &#8220;low fat&#8221; and &#8220;low sodium&#8221; because I think one should enjoy one&#8217;s food even if it is likely to kill one sooner.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>okay, so maybe I bought the healthy versions.  You&#8217;ll never know.<\/p>\n<p><B>Spinach Fettucine with (abraham) Bacon<\/B><\/p>\n<p><CENTER><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/kevinomara\/248663924\/\" title=\"Photo Sharing\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/static.flickr.com\/89\/248663924_7ce1476d3a_m.jpg\" width=\"240\" height=\"160\" alt=\"Spinach fettuccine\" \/><\/a><\/CENTER><\/p>\n<p>1 pound uncooked fettuccine<br \/>\n1 tablespoon butter<br \/>\n1 garlic clove, minced<br \/>\n1\/4 cup cream cheese<br \/>\n3\/4 cup chicken broth<br \/>\n3 tablespoons all-purpose flour<br \/>\n3\/4 cup grated fresh Pecorino Romano cheese<br \/>\n3\/4 cup half-and-half<br \/>\n1 teaspoon salt<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper<br \/>\n1 (10-ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed, drained, and squeezed dry<br \/>\n10 center-cut bacon slices, cooked and crumbled (about 1 1\/4 cups)<\/p>\n<p>1.) Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain pasta, reserving 1\/2 cup pasta water.<br \/>\n2.) Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.<br \/>\n3.) Add garlic; saut\u00c3\u00a9 30 seconds.<br \/>\n4.) Add reserved pasta water and cream cheese, stirring with a whisk until smooth.<br \/>\n5.) Combine broth and flour in a small bowl, stirring with a whisk until smooth.<br \/>\n6.) Add flour mixture to pan, stirring with a whisk to combine; bring to a boil. Cook 2 minutes or until mixture thickens, stirring constantly.<br \/>\n7.) Remove from heat; add pecorino Romano, stirring until smooth.<br \/>\n8.) Add half-and-half, salt, and pepper. Stir in spinach.<br \/>\n9.) Combine cheese mixture and pasta in a large bowl, tossing to coat.<br \/>\n10.) Dish it out and top it with bacon.<\/p>\n<p>EAT.  EAT EAT EAT EAT.  HURT.  BURST.
