Regardless, here&#8217;s the condensed version.<\/p>\n<p>The gubmint allows you to check your credit report <I>for free<\/I> once per year from each of the three credit reporting agencies.  That means if you space it out right you can get a report every four months.  Go to <A HREF=\"http:\/\/www.annualcreditreport.com\">annualcreditreport.com<\/A> and get started.<\/p>\n<p>Actually, first, go to your calendar software of choice and make a yearly recurring entry for January (TransUnion), May (experian), and September (Equifax).  That way you&#8217;ll remember which one you checked last and which one is up next.<\/p>\n<p>Do this.  Be safe.
